Candice Baker M.S., LPC
My journey began in the heart of Macon, Georgia, where I was raised and later developed a profound commitment to serving others. In 2018, I embraced a new chapter by moving to Kansas, bringing with me not only personal belongings but also a deep-seated passion for helping individuals and families on their journeys toward healing and wholeness.
Throughout the majority of my life, I have been privileged to walk alongside people from various backgrounds, providing services tailored to those most in need. Whether in clinical, community, or outreach settings, my focus has always been on fostering resilience, offering support, and helping others rediscover hope amid their struggles. I am especially dedicated to assisting those who are working to heal from current or past trauma. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and change, and my role as a therapist is to create a safe, empathetic space where individuals can explore their stories, build coping skills, and move forward with renewed strength. Guiding clients through their unique healing processes is both a responsibility and an honor that I hold close to my heart.
As I settle into my role at Midwest Integrative Marriage & Family Therapy, my goal is to collaborate with clients and colleagues alike, contributing to a supportive environment grounded in respect, compassion, and integrative care. I am eager to connect with this community, share in its values, and continue my lifelong commitment to service and healing.

M.S., LCMFT
We all need connection to feel complete. But finding, creating, and keeping connection can be brutally hard. Relationships are hard, and life can hand us things we are not prepared to deal with. I love walking along with people on their journey. I’m deeply moved by the work people do for repair and healing. I would love to sit down with you and hear your story…without judgement and with compassion for your struggle. I am a systemic therapist which means whether I’m working with you individually, you and your partner, or multiple members of your family, I’m considering all the other important lives that touch yours and the impact each has on the other. I also know that you aren’t what you are struggling with. Your issue doesn’t define you as a person. Please book a consultation so we can discuss what’s going on with you and how I can help.

I believe in people’s capacity for change—whether they’re carrying the weight of what they’ve been through or what they struggle with having done. I bring an accepting and non-judgmental presence to our work together. You can feel at ease knowing there’s nothing you need to hide. No topic is off limits, and no thought or feeling is unwelcome. The ways you’ve learned to respond to or cope with life often made sense—they’ve gotten you this far. But if they’re holding you back now, I provide a space for you to explore this with compassion and curiosity.
I work with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, addiction, and relationship challenges. My goal is to help you know yourself better, clarify what matters most, and let go of shame that’s kept you from living fully. I provide a no-cost consultation—please schedule so we can speak.
